Terms of Service

Last updated: July 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using bitURL (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

bitURL provides URL shortening, link management, click analytics, and QR code generation. You can shorten links without an account, or create a free account to save and manage your links from a personal dashboard.

3. Free Service & Future Paid Plans

All features of bitURL are currently provided free of charge. We do not currently offer any premium or paid subscription plans. We may introduce optional paid plans with additional capabilities in the future; if we do, we will announce them clearly, update these terms, and existing free functionality will not be silently converted into a paid feature without notice. You will never be charged without your explicit consent.

4. Fair Use & Daily Limits

To keep the Service fast and abuse-free, link creation is subject to daily limits: visitors without an account may create up to 5 short links per day, and registered users may create up to 50 short links per day (shared across single and bulk creation). These limits may be adjusted over time to protect service quality.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to shorten links that point to malware, phishing, spam, illegal content, or content that infringes the rights of others. We reserve the right to disable any short link or account that violates this policy, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

6. Your Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but provide the Service “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, bitURL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
